Get Ready for Rivalry Week! The Chamblee Football Game is This Friday!
GET READY FOR THE DHS VS CHAMBLEE FOOTBALL GAME; IT’S RIVALRY WEEK!! Our biggest rivalry football game is this Friday against Chamblee. The game starts at 7:30pm at North DeKalb Stadium (3688 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd Chamblee, GA 30341). We need Powerade/Gatorade powder donations due to the hot weather expected at practice, so please send donations with your student this week. We also need one more volunteer, so please see the sign-up below.
MARCHING BAND SEASON PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Family volunteers are key to the success of our Marching Band season! Please use this THIS LINK to sign up to volunteer for the 2023 Marching Band season! When signing up, please only sign up for 1 slot per event. VERTICAL RAISE FUNDRAISER. We will be launching our new fundraiser, Vertical Raise (similar to SnapRaise from last year), THIS Thursday, 8/31. Brian Lee from Vertical Raise will be meeting with the students during marching band practice to kick start the process. Parents, please make sure your child has valid email addresses saved in the Notes section on their phone for family, friends, co-workers, etc. BEFORE THURSDAY! Our goal is for each student to have 20 email addresses. This is our biggest fundraiser so we need 100% participation to make this successful! Game Days and Competitions
- DHS Football Schedule – We attend all home and away DHS Football Games.
- Competitions: We plan to compete in three events:
- September 30, 8am-11pm (DeKalb Exhibition)
- October 21, 8am-11pm
- November 4, 8am-11pm (Milton, GA)
The Fundraising Committee needs your help with raising funds and finding meal sponsors for the season. We did a great job of securing sponsored meals for band camp, and now we need to secure meals for the marching season.
- This Google sheet contains a list of potential financial and meal sponsors. Please add your name next to the potential sponsors you plan to solicit. Add new sponsors if you know of a business that would be a good sponsor (e.g., your family dentist, pediatrician, favorite local restaurant, etc.). We would like to get a variety of different businesses to sponsor the band, and we want to make sure only one family is asking each business for sponsorship.
