Getting Into Full Swing!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MARCHING WILDCATS AND SECTIONS/MEMBERS OF THE WEEK!  Our first home football game was Friday, and the Marching Wildcats sounded GREAT!  Congratulations to the sections of the week, Contras (tubas) and low woodwinds and Member of the week, Ian Ballow!  We have a bye this week, so we’ll share the details about the Chamblee game next week.
MARCHING BAND SEASON PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  Family volunteers are key to the success of our Marching Band season! Please use this THIS LINK to sign up to volunteer for the 2023 Marching Band season! When signing up, please only sign up for 1 slot per event. This will allow for all areas to be properly staffed and will allow for more volunteers. Please reach out to jennydilaura@gmail.com if you have any questions.
 
MARK YOUR CALENDAR for Upcoming August Dates!  Below is a combined calendar, with designations for Concert Band (CB), Marching Band (MB), Jazz Band (JB), or Combined (ALL).
  • 8/21: Color Guard & Percussion (and optional Winds) Sectional Practice, 4:00-6:00pm (MB)
  • 8/22: Marching Band Practice, 4:00-6:30pm (MB)
  • 8/24: Marching Band Practice, 3:30-6:00pm (MB)
  • 8/28: Color Guard & Percussion Sectional Practice, 4:00-6:00pm (MB)
  • 8/29: Marching Band Practice, 4:00-6:30pm (MB)
  • 8/31: Marching Band Practice, 3:30-6:00pm (MB)

The Fundraising Committee needs your help with raising funds and finding meal sponsors for the season. We did a great job of securing sponsored meals for band camp, and now we need to secure meals for the marching season. 

  • This Google sheet contains a list of potential financial and meal sponsors. Please add your name next to the potential sponsors you plan to solicit. Add new sponsors if you know of a business that would be a good sponsor (e.g., your family dentist, pediatrician, favorite local restaurant, etc.). We would like to get a variety of different businesses to sponsor the band, and we want to make sure only one family is asking each business for sponsorship.
