Friday Home Game and Saturday Exhibition & Rehearsal

HOME GAME AGAINST MARIST THIS FRIDAY!  The game starts at 7:30pm at N DeKalb Stadium. We still need a few volunteers, so please see the sign-up below.
DEKALB EXHIBITION AND EVENING REHEARSAL THIS SATURDAY!  Students need to arrive in the DHS Band Room by 11am to prepare to load buses and head to the Exhibition.  We will return to DHS for rehearsal, dinner and evening rehearsal, to be dismissed by 9pm.  Dinner will be provided by the band boosters.
MARCHING BAND SEASON PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  Family volunteers are key to the success of our Marching Band season! We still need volunteers for September 30th. Please use this THIS LINK to sign up to volunteer for the 2023 Marching Band season! 
VERTICAL RAISE FUNDRAISER.  Thank you to those who participated in the Vertical Raise Fundraiser. We will announce the final amount and prize winners this week!
 
DISTRICT AND ALL STATE AUDITION REGISTRATION DUE THIS WEEK.   Auditions for the GMEA District 4 Honor Band will take place on Saturday, December 9.  Cost is $25 and can be paid by PayPal (@DHSbands), Venmo (@dunwoodybands), Check (made out to DHS Band Boosters, put in black box in band room), or Cash (put in the black box in the band room).  See Mr. Hutcherson for a registration form, due BY SEPTEMBER 27.

  • 9/30: DeKalb Exhibition & Rehearsal, 11am-9pm (MB)

Rehearsal Schedule (from August 10th through November 2)

  • Color Guard & Percussion Sectionals: Mondays 4:00-6:00pm
  • Full MB: Tuesdays 4-6:30 pm
  • Full MB: Thursdays 3:30-6:00 pm
  • Full MB: Saturday, September 9, 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Full MB: Mondays starting October 2, 3:30-6:00pm
  • Full MB: Saturday, October 14, 9:00am-5:00pm

Game Days and Competitions

  • DHS Football Schedule – We attend all home and away DHS Football Games.
  • Competitions: We plan to compete in three events:
    • NEW TIME:  September 30, 11am-9pm (DeKalb Exhibition & Rehearsal)
    • October 21, 8am-11pm
    • November 4, 8am-11pm (Milton, GA)
