MARCHING BAND SEASON PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Family volunteers are key to the success of our Marching Band season! Please use this THIS LINK to sign up to volunteer for the 2023 Marching Band season!
VERTICAL RAISE FUNDRAISER. We are halfway through our biggest fundraiser, and we need 100% participation to raise the funds we desperately need. Parents, please share the posts from the band boosters Facebook and Instagram pages and make sure your student has 20 valid email addresses! DISTRICT AND ALL STATE AUDITION REGISTRATION. Auditions for the GMEA District 4 Honor Band will take place on Saturday, December 9. Students scoring the highest in our GMEA district will be offered membership in the District Honor Band. Students who earn a passing score in the first round can earn a chance to then audition for the All-State Band at Union Grove High School in McDonough on Saturday, January 6. This year’s All-State Band will meet in Athens, Georgia from March 1-3. Cost is $25 and can be paid by PayPal (@DHSbands), Venmo (@dunwoodybands), Check (made out to DHS Band Boosters, put in black box in band room), or Cash (put in the black box in the band room). See Mr. Hutcherson for a registration form, due BY SEPTEMBER 27.

- Full MB: Mondays starting October 2, 3:30-6:00pm
- Full MB: Saturday, October 14, 9:00am-5:00pm
Game Days and Competitions
- DHS Football Schedule – We attend all home and away DHS Football Games.
- Competitions: We plan to compete in three events:
- September 30, 8am-11pm (DeKalb Exhibition)
- October 21, 8am-11pm
- November 4, 8am-11pm (Milton, GA)
