Events for this week…
Spring Solo & Ensemble DHS Recital. April 14, 6:00pm in DHS Auditorium Students participating in Solo & Ensemble will have a recital for their friends and family.
Car Wash Fundraiser. April 16, 11am-3pm at Village Burger in Dunwoody ALL DHS band students please join the fun as we wash cars and raise funds for the band program! Mattress Fundraiser. We need funds for music, clinicians and instrument repairs (among other things!), and the Mattress fundraiser scheduled for April 30 is our big fundraiser for the fpring. All you have to do is advertise! HERE IS HOW YOU CAN HELP! 1. Get the word out! Here is a sample blurb you copy and paste: Are you in the market for a new mattress? Next month, we are turning the DHS cafeteria into a Mattress Store, featuring name brand mattresses (ex: Simmons BeautyRest) at prices lower than retail. If you decide to order, a brand new mattress will be delivered to your home in about 3 weeks. It sounds like a crazy fundraiser, but it’s a win-win, you get a quality mattress at a good price, and the Dunwoody Band Program raises funds to buy music and instruments for our kiddos. ASK your student to bring home some fliers and yard signs – Ms. Caputo has plenty in the band room! Put the sign in your yard, at a local high traffic business (with permission), at the entrance to your neighborhood or pool/tennis club, at your church or synagogue, anywhere where the community will see them.

Spring Jazz Band Concert. April 21, 7pm in DHS Auditorium Our performance with the PMS Jazz band will include a dessert reception!
GMEA Spring Solo & Ensemble. April 23, General Ray Davis Middle School Spring Solo & Ensemble is an opportunity for all Dunwoody High School band students to perform solos, duets, trios, etc. for a rating.
Marching Band Leadership Workshop. Save the dates (below)! All students interested in auditioning for a leadership position are expected to attend the workshops. We’ll be learning leadership techniques and applying them in our rookie camp events. In addition to participating in the workshop, an audition packet and recommendation letters must be submitted. * April 27, 3:30-6pm * April 28, 5-8pm * May 12, 5-8pm * May 19, 5-8pm
Marching Band Spring Camp. April 28, 6-8pm at DHS All students interested in joining the DHS Marching Band for the 2022 season are invited to attend this event. We will learn marching techniques, learn pep tunes, and begin preparing for the 2022 season.
Marching Band Rookie Camp. April 28, May 12 & May 19th, 6-8pm at DHS All new students interested in joining the DHS Marching Band are invited to join this event. We will learn marching techniques, playing techniques, and begin preparing for the 2022 season.
Marching Band Parent Meeting. April 28, 8pm at DHS Join us for a parent meeting to learn more about the 2022 Marching Band season! Reserve your drill spot in the competition marching band show by paying your dues deposit. Early bird discount special if paid this evening!
Mattress Sale Fundraiser. April 30, 10am-5pm in DHS Cafeteria Please advertise to everyone you know – and plan to join us for our Mattress Sale Fundraiser event to help raise money for Dunwoody Bands! Join our Mattress Sale meeting March 24 to learn more!

Concert Band Dues Reminder. Concert Band dues are $60, payable to DHS Band Boosters by PayPal (@DHSbands), Venmo (@dunwoodybands), cash or check. Thank you to those who have already paid!
