We have another busy week ahead!

Here’s what you need to know this week.
It was a busy week at DHS and a busy week for our band students! It was great to see and hear our students perform with PMS band members at All Roads Lead to Dunwoody. We also had several band members perform in the Wildcat Theater’s production of Mamma Mia! We were delighted by John Hatch, Quinn Allison and Joey Minyard in the orchestra pit, and Naomi Wagner, Giovanna (Gigi) DeFreitas Moura and Muriel Flores as part of an ensemble. Well done, all!
We would like to especially thank everyone who came to support the band during our Kroger fundraiser yesterday. Our students sounded great, and Kroger’s manager, staff and patrons were so generous and supportive of the band. We collected $1,442.50 in donations in only 3 hours. Special thanks to our parent and sibling volunteers – we could not have done it without you!

We have two key events this week, and we need everyone’s participation to make it a success.
Two Key Events This Week: 1. Mock LGPE Concert. March 23, 6:00-8:00pm in DHS auditorium (5:00 pm call time for students). Spring Concert Band and Percussion Ensemble students will perform and work with a clinician. 2. IMPORTANT! ALL PARENTS AND STUDENTS PLEASE COME! Mattress Fundraiser Meeting. March 24, 7:00 pm in DHS cafeteria
We need funds to run our band program, and in this meeting, we’ll discuss the big mattress fundraiser scheduled for April 30. Ms. Caputo is asking that every concert band and marching band student and parent attend this meeting. The fundraiser company will give us $5 for every adult in attendance. This will be our big fundraiser for the Spring, and all we have to do is advertise! In the meantime, here are two requests of all parents and students: 1. Events Coming Up After Spring Break:
Spring Solo & Ensemble DHS Recital. April 14, 6:00pm in DHS Auditorium Students participating in Solo & Ensemble will have a recital for their friends and family.
Car Wash Fundraiser. April 16, 11am-3pm at Village Burger in Dunwoody ALL DHS band students please join the fun as we wash cars and raise funds for the Band program!
Spring Jazz Band Concert. April 21, 7pm, Location TBD Our performance with the PMS Jazz band will include a dessert reception!

Concert Band Dues Reminder. Concert Band dues are $60, payable to DHS Band Boosters by PayPal (@DHSbands), Venmo (@dunwoodybands), cash or check. Thank you to those who have already paid!
