Our Winter Concert is this week!

Hello everyone!
I hope you had a great weekend. We have an exciting next couple of weeks before our Winter Break! Stay tuned for more important information.
Holiday Concert Dress Rehearsal: Tuesday, December 7, 3:30-5:30pm.
Holiday Concert: Thursday, December 9, 7:00pm in DHS Theater 5:50pm Report time for students for final Dress Rehearsal on stage 6:45pm Doors open for friends and family 7:00pm Concert Begins 8:00pm Reception in the Theater Commons (area outside the theater.)
Reception Party: You can bring something quick and easy or more elaborate! Cooking was always a big part of my family growing up, so I’d love to encourage students to have fun making a dish with their families/parents. I loved cooking with my parents, but loved even more eating and socializing with everyone afterwards! I look forward to socializing and eating some yummy food after the concert with you all! Feel free to bring reception items at 6:45pm prior to the concert starting. You will see the food tables lined up outside the theater. **If you are bringing something in a crock pot, I have several extension cords to help plug into outlets to keep food warm **
Some food ideas to match the places we are “musically visiting”: * (Ukraine) Cabbage Rolls, chicken kyiv, Baked Potatoes * (Israel) Sufganiyot, Latkes, Gelt: little chocolate coins, Hummus * (Africa) Chicken & Rice, Bananas/Pineapple/Mangos * (Asia) Ramen, Egg Rolls, Dumplings, Rice Pudding * (Spain) Chips and Salsa/Guacamole/Queso, Taco Meat for tacos or nachos, Paella * (America) Chickfila Chicken Nuggets, Burger Sliders, Hotdogs , etc.

Holiday Band Party! Wednesday, December 15, 6:00pm at Vintage Pizza We will be having a Holiday Party to celebrate the end of the semester and kick off the Holidays! We will be having an Ugly Holiday Sweater/Outfit Contest (with prizes!) and a White Elephant Game! If you would like to participate in the White Elephant Game, bring a wrapped $10-$15 gift to play.

Dues Reminder: We will be sending email statements to families who still owe Marching Band, Color Guard or Concert Band dues, so please be on the lookout for those emails soon. As a reminder, please let us know if you need to set up or adjust a payment plan. Thank you!
Treasurer Needed. We are still looking for a new Treasurer to replace Mrs. Trish Cronin. This is a position that takes about an hour every other week, and is essential for our program to function. This does not have to be a single person role. If you and a friend or spouse would like to share responsibilities and duties, we would love to have you!
