From your Band Director
Holiday Concert Dress Rehearsal December 7, 3:30-5:30pm. We will have our Dress Rehearsal after school from 3:30-5:30 on December 7th. It is expected that all students attend; it will be for a grade. This will be the only time all students will be able to practice their music all together before the concert.
Holiday Concert December 9, 7:00pm in DHS Theater. Reception will follow afterwards in the Theater Commons (area outside the theater.) Everyone will bring in something to share. Students can select which Country/Culture they want! African, American, Asian, Jewish, Latin/Spanish, and Ukrainian food options are possible! We will be musically visiting all of those places with our concert music. Concert Attire. Please remember to have proper formal concert attire. As a reminder, all returning concert band students who already have outfits should wear those. New concert band students should wear the following: Females will borrow concert dresses from me. Males need to wear black dress pants, black long sleeve button up shirt, black dress shoes, and black bow tie. Be mindful we are a couple of weeks away and students must wear proper attire for the concert.
Homework. Google classroom assignments have been posted for Periods 1 & 2. Please do not forget to submit these to me before November 29.

Treasurer Needed. We are still looking for a new Treasurer to replace Mrs. Trish Cronin. This is a position that takes about an hour every other week, and is essential for our program to function. This does not have to be a single person role. If you and a friend or spouse would like to share responsibilities and duties, we would love to have you!
